Day 0: Arrival in Amsterdam
July 19, 2014 After a seven hour flight from Dulles Airport, we're finally here! After landing, we got our bearings in the Schilphol Airport which was a lot different from the one in D.C. We hopped a bus to downtown Amsterdam and found our hotel. We got there around 8am, and couldn't check in yet so we found a little maket where we bought some bread and cheese. Then we headed to Vondelpark for a picnic. After a nice walk in the part, we decided to go to the nearby VanGogh Museum since it was not included on our tour. The museum housed some of VanGogh's most famous works including The Potato Eaters, Irises, Sunflowers and many self portraits. We then went to an outdoor restaurant at the park and had an amazing Indonesian meal. We made our way back to the hotel for a much needed rest.
